EXPERIENCE

Austin Community College, Austin, TX, Professor

Full-time professor since fall 2008. Teach: all course levels such as pre-algebra, algebra, differential equations, calculus III, and all courses in between. Serve: new faculty mentoring and evaluation, departmental and college-wide committees including textbook selection, course creation and design, faculty senate, instructional technology advisory, hiring, and other as assigned.

 

Texas State University, San Marcos, TX, Lecturer, Part-Time Lecturer

Full-time lecturer: fall 2006 to spring 2008. Taught: courses in the 1000-2000 level such as algebra, trigonometry, and pre-calculus. After accepting a full-time position at Austin Community College, I became a part-time lecturer: fall 2008 – spring 2020 at the Round Rock Higher Education Center. Taught: courses in the 2000-3000 such as linear algebra, probability, and pure math.

 

St. Edwards University and St. Edwards New College, Austin, TX, Lecturer, Part-Time Lecturer

Part-time lecturer for St. Edwards’s New College: fall 2004 – spring 2005. Full-time lecturer for St. Edwards University: fall 2005 – spring 2006. Taught: courses including college algebra, pre-calculus, math for business and economics and college mathematics.

 

University of North Texas, Denton, TX, Teaching Fellow

Teaching fellow: fall 1997 – summer 2004. Taught: courses ranging from developmental to advanced 1000-2000 level. Additional: math placement advisor for transfer and freshmen orientation, taught UNT mini-course in preparing for the mathematics of GRE and GMAT testing. I am ABD from UNT.
