Responsible for the management and operation of the Austin Community College Veterans Affairs Office. Develops, implement policies, procedures for the VA Office; manage division budget allocation and grant fund. Monitor compliance with Federal regulatory authority via multiple relational databases, to include a unix language based datatel program, spreadsheet application. Supervises, trains, monitors and appraises performance of staff workers, hourly workers, work study personnel. Manages daily flow of direct services to veterans' benefits recipients. Prepare, submit reports to appropriate Federal entities. Verify student enrollment, certify eligibility status, counsel students. Coordinate necessary actions with DVA Regional Office to facilitate enrollment of disabled veterans under Vocational Rehabilitation Program. Serve as liaison for Veteran office with division chairpersons, student services counselors, administrative personnel. Coordinates the process for clearing students in overpayment and past-due balance status. Provide academic advising to Veteran students who are eligible to receive US Department of Veterans Affairs educational benefits. Coordinates information with the Parallel Studies division Chairs to determine student status and courses. Work closely with Student Services administration.

Provide instructional tools/materials to broad based demographic student pool. Responsible for planning, preparing course content, delivery of instructional programs.
