Position:  Department Chair/Professor, MLT and Phlebotomy Programs

Responsible for the organization, administration, instruction, evaluation, continuous quality improvement, curriculum planning and development, directing faculty/staff, and general effectiveness of the MLT and Phlebotomy programs.  Duties include textbook ordering, budget, supply management, student handbooks, document control, surveys for both graduates and employers and maintaining NAACLS approval for the Phlebotomy program and NAACLS accreditation for the MLT program.  Teach and develop curriculum for the Hematology, Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry, and clinical courses.  Oversee course curriculum development for Serology/Immunology, Immunohematology, Clinical Microbiology, and urinalysis/ Body Fluids.  Develop curriculum and clinical schedules for the Phlebotomy courses.  Serve as a MLT student advisor. Manage four full time faculty, one lab assistant, and eight adjunct faculty.

Develop curriculum and instruction in the areas of Hematology, Coagulation, Microbiology and Chemistry.  Advise potential and current students as to their degree plan progression. Work alongside the department chair in development of yearly budgets, schedules, textbook ordering, self-study, graduate and employer surveys and document control.
