Jesus Casas
Teaching Experience
Jesus Casas is a full-time professor in the Electronics and Advanced Technologies Department at Austin Community College (ACC). Mr. Casas attended the University of Texas at Arlington from which he received a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1993. Since then, he has worked for the following high-tech companies: Applied Telecommunications, Du Pont Photomask, Advanced Micro Devices, and Applied Materials. While employed at Du Pont Photomask, Mr. Casas began working at ACC as an adjunct instructor in 1997. He became a full-time professor a year later.
Professional Publications
Mr. Casas has participated in several grants. He has performed lab development work for Work-Ready Electronics in the areas of Programmable Logic Devices, Data Acquisition, and Microprocessors. He has been a lab developer for ESyst, a project which takes a systems approach to teaching and learning Electronics. Both projects were funded in part by grants from the National Science Foundation. Mr. Casas has also developed curriculum under a bio-instrumentation grant.
