  • New degree developed: Associate of Science in Nutrition to establish a transfer pathway for two-year students seeking admission to accredited four-year professional programs in nutrition and dietetics (offered Fall 2023).

Oncology Dietitian August 2009 – August 2014

  • Provided comprehensive nutrition care, including education and counseling, to patients across the cancer continuum in an interdisciplinary care team setting.
  • Served as Diabetes Program Coordinator, 2013 to 2014. Maintained accreditation from the American Diabetes Association for Diabetes Self-Management program.
  • Taught motivational interviewing to staff dietitians to enhance communication and counseling skills. 
  • Completed two quality improvement initiatives on nutrition support processes, resulting in cost reductions for the hospital and time savings for clinicians.
