EDUCATION:

Ph.D. in Chemistry: University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas

Title of Dissertation: Oxidative Diversion of the Carbanionic Intermediate and Cosolvent Effects in Pyruvate-Decarboxylase Action: A Model for Substrate Binding and Product Release.

M.S. in Organic Chemistry: Shiraz University, Shiraz Iran

Title of Thesis: Synthesis of Some 6-a-Methylated Benzylisoquinolines and 6'a,6a-Bismethylated Bisbenzylisoquinolines.

Postdoctoral Research Associate: University of Texas at Austin, College of  Pharmacy, Division of the Medicinal Chemistry, Austin, Texas. Mechanistic study of the enzymes involved in microbiol degradation of aromatic hydrocarbons. In this work, enzymes were purified by Ion-Exchange chromatography and HPLC and mechanism of the enzymatic and non-enzymatic reactions were studied by spectroscopic methods

Adjunct Faculty:  Austin Community  Colledge,  Department of Chemistry, Austin Texas, August 2001 -  present.

Teaching Assistant: University of Kansas, Department of Chemistry, Lawrence, Kansas,  August 1984 - August 1986.

Professor of Chemistry (Lecturer) : Shiraz University, Department of Chemistry Shiraz Iran, September 1978 - August 1984. I taught general and organic chemistry lectures and laboratories and  I was working as a Laboratory coordinator of the general and organic chemistry at Chemistry Department, Shiraz University,

Teaching Assistant: Shiraz University, Department of Chemistry, Shiraz Iran, December 1975 - September 1976.
