Teaching Experience
Gloria is a native Austinite and received her Bachelors in Marketing from Southwest Texas in 1993. She worked in the Retail Management/Customer Service industry for five years. She obtained her teaching certification in Business and began teaching at Georgetown High School where she taught for 5 years Business Communication Information Systems (B.C.I.S), Business Multimedia Management and Principles of Marketing. She loved the marketing courses so much that within those five years she returned to Southwest to complete a second teacher certification in Marketing. At that point she really wanted to be a part of the ACC Marketing staff. She has been an adjunct for ACC since 2004 teaching the Marketing Research and the Marketing/Management Internship courses. She is enjoying every minute of it. You can also find her at the Round Rock ISD school district administration where she is now the Assistant Director of P-TECH helping students progress through and graduate high school, earn industry based certifications, a Level 2 LVN Certificate and/or Associates of Applied Science Degree. She has also taught marketing courses such as Principles of Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Advertising as well as sponsoring DECA, a Marketing Association for High School Students.
