Projects

The following are various projects or working groups of importance at Austin Community College:

  • Serve as Co-Chair of the college's Instructional Program Review working group.
  • Serve on Data Engagement Work Group charged with assessing and building training modules to improve faculty's ability to use data.
  • Serve on microcredentialing subcommittee charged with developing applications and assessments for faculty-facing microcompetency badges.
  • Served on QEP implementation team.
  • Initiated an ePortfolio working group tasked with participating in AAC&U’s inaugural ePortfolio Institute.
  • Facilitated small group discussions about ePortfolio usage in different areas of the college.
  • Organized meetings to highlight and develop curriculum whereby students use technology to showcase learning.
  • Incorporated Adobe products into some courses to improve technology skills, highlight transferable skills, and understanding of communication concepts.
  • Facilitated meeting to improve communication between corequisite instructors to better align curriculum. 
  • Completed Service Learning Institute Program to begin offering courses designated as Service Learning.
  • Created a Faculty Interest Group focusing on educating participants on Texas Higher Education Legislation.
  • Participate in the Assessment Task Force responsible for the development and assessment of general education competencies and program student learning outcomes for the college.
  • Assist in an Instructional Program Review Workgroup that provides guidance for and assessment of all program reviews in the college. Provided recommendations for process improvements and rubric modifications.
