Advised and developed the implementation of digital technology in foundation courses. Co-developed printmaking, digital imaging and color theory curriculum combining traditional and contemporary approaches. Responsible for courses in: Printmaking, Serigraphy, Digital Imaging I, Color Theory, 2D Design and Drawing. Each course includes: developing course curriculum & assignments, critiquing & evaluating student work, and lectures/demonstrations.
1997 - 2010:
Master Printer / Digital & Technical Consultant. Sam Coronado Studio, Austin, TX.
Implemented digital technologies and procedures used in the production of limited edition fine art serigraphs. Collaborated with over 30 artists as the Master Printer. Responsible for consultation of advanced technologies and processes, collaborating with artists in stencil making, recommending stenciling strategies and process related details including: digital stencil manipulation and production, printing, proofing, color matching, ink mixing, photo stencil exposure, registration, printing, curation and documentation.
1999 - 2000:
Head of Printmaking(Adjunct - interim). Southwest Texas State University, San Marcos, TX.
Restructured and stabilized the print area with the introduction of a comprehensive curriculum, new technologies, and contemporary standards for lab safety. Responsible for teaching all levels (Beg. - Adv.) in the relief, intaglio, serigraphy and lithography processes, as well as establishing new shop guidelines and policies, researching and ordering health-conscious supplies, and repairing and constructing new equipment.
1994 - 1997:
Teaching Assistant. University of Texas at Austin, (Serigraphy).
Duties included: developing course schedules and descriptions, performing demonstrations, advising students, critiquing student work, giving quizzes and tests, ordering and distributing supplies and equipment, and consulting with Associate Professor Tim High on student’s progress and grades.
