You will be required to attend ALL in-class instructional periods at the Highland campus on Mondays evenings 6 to 8 pm. Announcements will be posted indicating important information about the class. Please refer to the course calendar for important dates. Students who fail to attend ALL in-class instructional periods will be subject to being droipped from the class.
Announcements: It is your responsibility to log on at least three different times on three different days each week to check on announcements. Failure to do so is not a valid excuse for late assignments. Late assignments are accepted for half credit. It is best to stay on track.
Online & Classroom Etiquette: The objective of online and classroom discussion is to be collaborative, not combative. Please, think objectively and/or proofread your responses carefully before you post them to make sure that they will not be offensive to others. Use discussions to develop your skills in collaboration and teamwork. Treat the discussion areas as a creative environment where you and your classmates can ask questions, express opinions, revise opinions, and take positions.
MindTap is the interactive platform used as your learning system. You can locate MindTap on blackboard under “Cengage MindTap Course Materials.” Log in and at the top you find the video “Getting Started” on the right hand top. Watching the video is a great way to dive right in. Additional links are available for your resources.
Weekly Assignments & Exams: Each chapter are divided into reading the chapter, completing the online chapter assignments and completing the chapter quiz. There will be a midterm and final examination that will be taken in class without your notes. A study guide will be provided to the student for each exam. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you complete the study guide to be well prepared for the examination.
Grading: The midterm and Final Exam will acccount for 80% of your final grade. Weekly assignment on each chapter will account for 20% of your final grade.
