Location of Class: ACC Highland Campus HLC 4- 2125 (grass area out at the UFCU Pavilion)

Grading system will be by points:

- Attendance, 0-100 pts. 

- Participation,  0-100 pts

- Discussion board, extra credit +5

This class is hybrid, therefore there might be a few online classes with videos to study from YouTube. 

Students must come to class dressed comfortably with tennis shoes to use on the athletic field. The students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to class as there is a fountain there to fill up your bottle. Restrooms will be available. 

Students will be required to "sign-in" upon entry into the class noting their attendance. 

Closed-toe shoes must be worn while participating in the class.

Communication is very important! Stay in touch with the instructor. 

The instructor will be using your ACC email to communicate, and possibly cell phone texting too!


Readings

There will be no books in this course, however, we will follow the rules/handbook of basic soccer play as followed by "FIFA Soccer" YouTube videos will also be used for examples of certain strategies and techniques involved in Soccer. 


Course Subjects

This course will cover:

- rules of 3 on 3 soccer

- how to score 

- proper footwork

- proper shooting

- exercises related to soccer

Student Learning Outcomes/Learning Objectives

1- general health and fitness received from the game of soccer.

2- how to properly play soccer.

3- receiving specific exercises in regards to the game of soccer.

4- proper warm-up techniques before play.

5- rules to follow.

6- benefits that come from the game of soccer such as health and fitness

7- learning to play as a team while playing "3 on 3"

8- games will be used to help "learn" the game and how it is played with classmates.


ACC Health Information Form

The ACC Health Information form must be filled out before a student can participate in the class. This form will be handed out on the first day of class to be filled out by the student!
