Course Requirements

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES

Focusing on the development of creative and sustainable special events from the conceptual stage through completion. Emphasis on industry terminology, factors to consider when planning a special event, and contingency plans. Through the analysis and evaluation of various client types, design needs and expectations are explored, and appropriate event solutions are identified.

COURSE RATIONALE

This course has been designed to provide students with the fundamentals of starting and growing an event planning business as well as developing an understanding of the event planning process from conception to execution.
