Course Subjects

An introduction to the profession of physical education, including the philosophy, historical and scientific foundations. The course includes an overview of the areas of specialization a physical educator may choose to pursue as a career.

To understand the historical foundations of physical education and how it relates to human performance and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and changes in the profession.

To gain knowledge of the essential components of physical education and their effects on society and individuals.
