e. AI Policy

In this course, generative AI (such as ChatGPT, DALL·E, Copilot, Google AI, or similar tools) may be used only for creating personal study materialsAssignments, quizzes, and exams will be completed without AI assistance. The purpose of this class is to prepare you for your future career, where no AI tools will be available—only the knowledge and skills you have truly learned.

You are welcome to use AI to generate practice questions, outlines, or study aids, but you must carefully review and verify any AI-generated content. These tools are not always accurate, especially in areas of statutory law, and relying on them without understanding the material will not help you succeed. Misuse of AI outside these guidelines will be treated as a violation of academic integrity.

e. Participation:

Participation is a great way of learning. I believe that we can learn from one another. Therefore, express your ideas on whatever topic we are discussing. However, I do ask that we respect one another. Also let us give each person an opportunity to participate. Please refrain from monopolizing class discussions.

Please come prepared for class and I will do my best to make class interesting.

Online Etiquette: The objective in an online discussion is to be collaborative, not combative.
