Course Requirements

Class meets Tuesdays 6-8:30 pm via Zoom for 16 weeks. 

  1. This course requires the use of the Blackboard learning management system.  
  2. Attendance is strongly encouraged, but not required.  Recorded videos for each chapter are available on Blackboard.
  3. The 3 exams will consist of multiple choice and short answer questions from text and lecture material. Exams are 1 attempt only and due dates are firm.  Exams are in Blackboard and do not require any special software or video camera.
  4. Extra Credit Options and the Stock Project will be outlined the first week of class.

Student Learning Outcomes/Learning Objectives

This course will provide the student with information about business operations and business vocabulary and it will help direct the thinking of each student to the field of business best suited for their interest and talent. Subject matter includes an analysis of the specialized fields within the business organization. The course covers concepts of business, management functions, organizational considerations, and decision-making processes. This course is beneficial to business majors and non-business majors. There is no prerequisite.
