Course Requirements

Skill development in pneumatic open-die forging hammer techniques. Topics include forging
various steel alloys and larger stock configurations, tool making, machine care, and hardware.
Projects to create functional aesthetic objects using power hammers. Course Fee: $50.00


Readings

There are no books assigned for this class. An internet link to JW Lillico's book Blacksmith's Manual Illustrated will be provided. 


Course Subjects

Demonstrate pneumatic, treadle, and trip hammer techniques; form various steel alloys and
larger stock configurations; and produce functional esthetic objects with a power hammer.
