A health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. Application of the theories, concepts, and knowledge base presented in RNSG 1412 Nursing Care of the Childbearing/Childrearing Family at a specific site or sites.

3. Delegates to other members of the health care team to promote safe, effective, and timely care for individuals with obstetric and pediatric health care needs, and their families.

1. Functions within the nurse’s legal scope of practice assume accountability and responsibility for the quality of nursing care provided to adult individuals with obstetric and pediatric health care needs and their families.
