Grading System and Policy

12 MindTap/SAM module-level Training assignments – average will be 12.5% of your grade  

12 MindTap/SAM module-level Exam assignments – average will be 12.5% of your grade  

12 MindTap/SAM module-level Critical Thinking Projects – average will be 25% of your grade

3 MindTap/SAM Capstone Project assignments – average will be 25% of your grade  

3 MindTap/SAM Concept Tests – average will be 25% of your grade  

An overall grade will be assigned based on the following scale: 90% - 100%  A   89% - 80%  B   79% - 70%  C   69% - 60%  D 0% - 59%  F

Student Learning Outcomes/Learning Objectives

Use a database management system (DBMS) to solve business problems.

Study and practice data design theory.

Create Entity Relationship diagrams

Design and modify tables, queries, forms and reports.

Normalize tables to 3rd normal form.

Create primary keys for each table.

Define and understand entity integrity and referential integrity in relational databases
