Course Requirements

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Do the required Orientation Quiz by due date for 5 extra credit points added to the total of your exam scores. This is what I use to certify attendance in the class.  If this is not completed you may be shown as “not attending” and the college will automatically drop you from the class!
  2. Read the text book (see BUSI 2305 Reading and Homework Problems for assignments)
  3. Use the material on the Blackboard web site
  4. Work the assigned homework problems (see Reading and Homework Schedule) and check your answers on Blackboard or in book.
  5. Take extra credit quizzes prior to scheduled exam due date.
  6. Students are highly encouraged to keep up and on schedule.
  7. Students are encouraged to get the help they need in a timely fashion.  If you need help please ask.  Help outside office hours is available if you need it.  However, not keeping up is not a good excuse.  If for some reason, your messages are not returned it is up to you to follow up and get help.  Make sure you include your name, section number and the name of the class in all communications. Keep trying if you do not hear from me.
  8. Collaboration with your fellow students is highly encouraged on homework assignments and to understand concepts from a different voice.  Your instructor may facilitate that if requested.

READING

The book is important to use as a resource in conjunction with the Power Points.  For many students it is best used as a way to understand the information in more depth.  In addition, students are encouraged to use the instructor’s Blackboard site for a variety of helpful study aides.  If you have a problem or questions, call the instructor
