Course Requirements

DETERMINATION OF GRADE AND EXPLANATION OF COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Chapter Reading Quizzes (10%):  Your e-textbook contains several brief reading quizzes throughout each chapter. You will complete each of these quizzes as you are reading the assigned chapters. Scores for these quizzes will be uploaded by the instructor into the Blackboard gradebook, but you will also be able to view your scores directly in the eBook website throughout the semester.


2. Exams (90%):  Students will take three multiple-choice exams, each worth 30% of the final grade in the course.

REQUIRED TEXTBOOK:  You will use Pearson's REVEL platform to access the following textbook:  Brands, H.W., et al, American Stories, 4th edition, volume 2. This is an e-book and will be available the first day of the semester.  This course includes a fee to cover the costs of required digital materials provided at a discounted rate from the ACC Bookstore.  IMPORTANT!
