Course Requirements
Please bring two things when you ask questions: (1) Your own notes; (2) Your own understanding of the question.
I normally respond to all emails/messages within 24 hours (though possible with a longer delay over weekends or holidays). If you do not receive a response from me during that time frame, please try sending another message. My office hours are indicated above. Kindly make good use of it. You can also book an appointment to see me if need be. Tutorial sessions will be held on zoom and you are free to join. Dates and times will be communicated and will be on the course syllabus that will be posted on Blackboard
All class communication will be done through ACC email and Blackboard. Be sure to check your ACC email and Blackboard Announcement in a timely manner.
Two Announcements (at least) will be sent out every week. Be sure to check your ACC email and Blackboard Announcement in a timely manner. The first weekly announcement will be posted on every Sunday evening, providing a suggested study plan of the week. The second announcement will be posted on every Thursday evening, reminding all the deadlines/suggested tasks of the week. This is a 5-week course, so the workload is MUCH heavier than your regular 16-week course. You should expect up to 10 hours/week to study, read notes and PowerPoints, watch videos and get all necessary assignments done. All contents will be on Blackboard on 05/28/2023 and the course starts on 05/30/2023. You are highly encouraged to work ahead.
*MindTap Homework and Exam*
There will be 10 regular homework assignments, each one at the end of every chapter and TWO exams. There will be NO Homework on chapters marked *. There will be one mid-term exam and one final exam. A forthcoming exam reminder will be announced at least a week in advance. No make-up quizzes or tests will be given. Any unexcused absence from an exam counts as an “F.”
Midterm exam will be open from 06/16 (Fri) – 06/18 (Sun) for you to take. Midterm is open-books or open note, 50 multiple choice questions and only ONE attempt. Once you start, you must finish the exam. If you go out of the exam, you will not be allowed to continue again and it will automatically submit and grade you.
A comprehensive final exam will be open on blackboard on 06/29/2023 (Thurs), and closed on the midnight of 06/30/2023 (Fri). It includes 50 multiple-choice questions. The final exam is Open-books and Open-notes.
