Course Requirements
Course Description: A study of current personal computer hardware including personal computer assembly and upgrading, setup and configuration, and troubleshooting.
Pre-requisite: COSC 1301 and one semester of programming or instructional program approval.
Grade Policy:
Grade will be assigned based both on concepts and practical application. Exams, quizzes, and lab projects will be a part of the grade. An overall grade will be assigned on the following grading scale:
90% - 100% A
80% - 89% B
70% - 79% C
60% - 69% D
0% - 59% F
Course Requirements
There are 4 exam that represent the total graded. Exams scheduled priory to the due receive full credit. Exam past due date or retakes are also available however the total credit will be maximized at 80% credit.
Attendance/Class Participation
Regular and punctual class and laboratory attendance is expected of all students. If attendance or compliance with other course policies is unsatisfactory, the instructor may withdraw students from the class.

Course Objectives / Learning Outcomes:
This course maps fully to CompTIA’s 2019 A+ Exam objectives. The course is designed to be a complete, step-by-step approach for learning the fundamentals of supporting and troubleshooting computer hardware and software. Upon course completion student should be able to:
